Cypress Environmental Technology’s story began with membrane pioneer Dr. Oleh Kutowy—a former senior scientist at Canada’s National Research Council—who designed a new nano-membrane technology for waste oil-to-base oil recycling that’s both energy-efficient and highly effective.
In 2014, Cypress Founder Ricky Cheng saw the technology’s massive potential in the global lubricant market, which was still dominated by inefficient, outdated recycling methods.
Through this pivotal cross-border synergy between Oleh and Ricky, Cypress has successfully delivered more efficient, greener oil recovery, breaking down industry barriers and pushing the entire sector forward.
Lisheng Da (力圣达): An Innovation Showcase Built Around Nano-Membrane Technology
Lisheng Da is our flagship plant in Long’an County, Guangxi, and the testing ground for our production line. As the world’s first waste oil recovery facility built entirely around nano-membrane filtration, it proves the technology works at scale—and keeps pushing it further.
Every step here—from feedstock pre-treatment to filtration to final polishing—is constantly refined to boost recovery rates, automation, energy efficiency, and product quality, setting the industry standard.
A Compact, High-Efficiency Production Line
Forget sprawling plants and towering equipment. Cypress’s entire production line fits inside a single warehouse—just 7,020 square meters—yet can process up to 160 tons of oil daily, far outpacing traditional facilities on space efficiency.
Its low-temperature process runs at just 160°C, compared to 300°C for traditional vacuum distillation. That means startup takes hours, not days.
Even in brutal winter cold, our indoor facilities stay stable and productive. While traditional plants risk frozen equipment and costly outdoor repairs, our core systems stay protected indoors—delivering safe, green, uninterrupted production all year round.

1. Sourcing
Waste oil comes from licensed collectors, ensuring full traceability and compliance.
2. Testing
Checks density, flash point, water content, pH, and viscosity. Only batches that pass move forward.
3. Pre-Treatment
Removes solids, water, sludge, fuel, and additives—protecting our core membrane system.
4. Core Processing
Our patented nano-membrane filters out remaining impurities, producing semi-refined base oil (ASTM 7-8).
5. Polishing
Mineral decolorizing towers purify the oil to a crystal-clear finish (ASTM 0-2)—matching virgin base oil quality at a lower cost.
6. Sales
Outreach with lubricant blenders through trade platforms and industry channels, delivering tested samples for every batch.

At the heart of our state-of-the-art oil recycling system are our own nano-filtration membrane units, built for industrial-scale oil recovery.
Our high-performance membranes precisely separates and purifies heavily contaminated waste oil, recovering up to 82% base oil with clarity and purity that rivals virgin refinery output. Its unique structure delivers high throughput and long life, without relying on high temperatures or harmful chemicals.

Lean, Efficient Operations
Our entire production line is built for maximum workforce efficiency—each line produces 30,000 tons a year, while only requiring a team of less than 50 people. Smart, automated systems handle everything from raw material intake to core separation, refining, quality checks, and shipping, running smoothly with minimal human input.
Better still, our system is designed for simplicity. Workers don’t need advanced technical training—basic instruction is enough to safely and efficiently run the equipment, cutting hiring and training costs while keeping quality consistent.
Clean, Sustainable Production
Cypress built its production process from the ground up around safety, sustainability, and environmental care. Our proprietary system runs without harsh or hazardous chemicals—no NMP, no formaldehyde, no acidic residue, and no chemical exposure risk for our team.
Our process is so efficient it generates almost no sludge, with byproducts making up less than 1%—far better than traditional methods that produce large amounts of hazardous waste.
